UPDATE: Two people were injured in a crash between a motorcycle and a car at West 2nd and Gaines streets in Davenport on Thursday night, according to an Iowa State Police crash report.

Police allege in the report that 28-year-old Dayshaun Rias, of Davenport, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle while “actively eluding” law enforcement. Officers allege Rias failed to yield to a Dodge Dart, and the vehicles collided.

Both Rias and his passenger were taken to Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, the report says The other driver was uninjured.

EARLIER: The Centennial Bridge was blocked from traffic late Thursday after a motorcycle crash about 10:18 p.m.

Our Quad Cities News crews saw Iowa State Patrol and Davenport Police officers at the scene, where drivers were diverted from the foot of the Centennial Bridge in downtown Davenport. Just east of the foot of the bridge, a motorcycle lay on its side.
