He died just before midnight on Wednesday in the Royal Melbourne hospital where he had been flown in a critical condition.

“It is believed the man had been there across a number of days and was transported to hospital in a critical condition,” Victoria police said in a statement.

It’s understood Fagg was found by neighbours on Tuesday evening with emergency services called at 6.45pm.

It then took emergency services crews until 9.20pm to free him.

Worksafe has been notified and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
